Cancer Sucks is a Non-Profit Organization that started with a kind gesture.................... When the organizations founder felt as if cancer was out to get everyone she loved, a few of her friends put their funds together and presented her with a donation made in her name to The American Cancer Society. Touched and inspired, that gesture motivated her to fight back. In 2006, she organized and hosted her first fundraiser. Trying to think of a name to call her event the only thing that kept coming to mind was “cancer really sucks” and so Cancer Sucks was born. 7 years later we are striving to do more and more as we continue to grow.
